Project Overview:
In celebration of the 100th Anniversary of the historic Old Yau Ma Tei Police Station, LOST collaborated with the Hong Kong Police Force to activate the Grade 2 historic building into a public immersive experience. Utilizing the station’s iconic underground detention cells, LOST designed and installed a pop-up escape game that brought a century of local policing history to life.
Key Highlights & Experience:
- Historic Cell Activation: Participants step directly inside authentic, historic detention cells, experiencing the real architectural heritage while solving interactive, story-driven puzzles.
- Heritage & Crime Prevention Storytelling: Puzzles were crafted around real police history, historical cases, and community law enforcement evolution in Yau Ma Tei, seamlessly blending heritage conservation with modern public engagement.
- Non-Invasive Pop-Up Design: Leveraging LOST’s modular and non-structural setup techniques, the entire game was installed with zero alteration to the heritage site, drawing massive public footfall and media coverage during the centennial open days.
